My name is Dorte Bak Askholm and I learned to knit as a child, but only really found the melody with the needles in 2017.

My universe is based on a great joy in the process and the material. I knit as a creative outlet, to relieve stress and to nurture myself. The pleasure of sitting with the yarn in my hands is almost enough in itself...

The weakness for yarn has been there for as long as I can remember, and I have a natural curiosity to play with fibers, materials and colors.

Here in the webshop you will find knitting patterns that are my own designs. They are test knitted and tested before they are published and are ready to download as soon as your purchase is complete. The knitting patterns come with thorough descriptions, links to video guides and techniques.

You can also find my online courses at Online Knitting School, which offers several levels and themes and where you can learn to knit from scratch without prior knitting experience.
