Grooved stockings - Danish

50,00 kr.

Knitting pattern for socks that are super comfortable and flexible to wear with rib grooves. Knit in solid colors, with contrast heels or stripes - let your imagination run wild.

Grooved socks are a simple but super comfortable sock that can easily become the family's favorite sock.

The socks are knitted from the top, ending with the toe, and you have the option to knit exactly the length of both foot and shaft that you want. The measurements in the pattern are a guide, but try gently pulling the sock over your foot along the way to get a feel for what fits you.

The socks can be knitted in all kinds of stripes and patterns as well as solid colors, so it's a great way to use up leftover sock yarn.

They are also highly addictive to both knit and use.

Description

Sizes

Str 1 (2) 3 (4)

Goal

Circumference of the shaft lying flat/extended approx: 13/20 (15/23) 17/26 (19/29) cm

The size should be determined by the width of the shaft rather than shoe size, as the sock is knitted to the length that fits the foot, with the number of cast-on stitches determining the width of the sock. The pattern provides guideline measurements that you can use for shoe sizes

Knitting tension

25 sts = 10 cm in stockinette stitch on needle 3

Guiding sticks

3.0 mm double pointed needles (or 80 cm circular needle for magic loop)

Materials

Sock yarn, typically 210 - 220 meters per 50 grams. Recommended yarns are Merida from Lamana, Arwetta from Filcolana, Jawoll from Lang Yarns or hand-dyed Sock

50 (50) 75 (100) grams for a pair of socks

Yarn consumption is indicative as it ultimately depends on the desired foot length.
