Knitting pattern for socks, which with ribbed edges are super comfortable and flexible to wear. Knit solid colors, with contrasting heels or stripes - let your imagination run wild here.

Ribbed socks are a simple but super comfortable sock that goes on very easily and becomes the whole family's favorite sock.

The socks are knitted from the top down, ending with the toe, and you can knit the exact length of both foot and shaft that you want. The measurements in the pattern are indicative, but try carefully pulling the sock over your foot as you go, so you have a feel for what fits you.

The socks can be knitted in all kinds of stripes and patterns as well as completely solid colors, so it's a brilliant way to use up leftover sock yarn.

They are also very addictive both to knit and to use.

Sizes
1 (2) 3 (4)

Goal
Circumference of the shaft lying flat/expanded approx: 13/20 (15/23) 17/26 (19/29) cm

The size should be determined by the width of the shaft rather than the shoe size, as the sock is knitted to the length that fits the foot, where the number of cast-on stitches determines the width of the sock. There are guidelines in the pattern that you can follow in relation to shoe sizes.

Knitting strength
25 sts = 10 cm in stocking st on needle size 3

Guiding pins
3.0 mm double pointed needles (or 80 cm circular needle for magic loop)

Materials
Sock yarn, typically 210 - 220 meters per 50 grams. Recommended yarns are Merida from Lamana, Arwetta from Filcolana, Jawoll from Lang Yarns or hand-dyed Sock

50 (50) 75 (100) grams for a pair of socks

The yarn consumption is indicative, as it ultimately depends on the desired foot length.
