The sweater is worked from the top down in stockinette stitch with raglan increases, while the sleeves and side panels of the body are worked in seed stitch. The pattern repeat on the front consists of a shell pattern framed by braids on each side, while the back is worked in stockinette stitch.

The fit of the sweater should be loose and relaxed with a roomy chest.
