The Nydnings Shawl is an exclusive and large shawl knitted in garter stitch with a beautiful lace patterned edge. The shawl can be used as a wrap, a giant scarf and can even be tied around the waist to act as a soul warmer.

The Nydnings shawl is worked from tip to tip with a decorative and discreet lace pattern along the outer edge. It is worked back and forth in garter stitch with different increase and decrease phases to shape the shawl.

Length from tip to tip: Approx. 250 cm (indicative depending on how much it is stretched in the block and according to yarn choice)
Width (across the center): Approx. 80 cm

Knitting tension

19 stitches / 28 rows on 5.0 mm needles

Knitting tension is measured after wash-up and block

Materials

600 grams Cashsock Chunky from Gepard (72% merino, 20% polyamide, 8% cashmere)

or

400 grams Pernilla (100% wool) knitted together with 200 grams Alva (100% alpaca) from Filcolana

or

500 grams Pura Lana from Gepard Garn (50% merino, 50% alpaca)

The example shown is knitted in Trend Merino Petite from Viking Garn (250 grams) combined with 2-strand Mohair from Mohair by Canard (300 grams).
